Poryhedron's RPG Character Compendium

Retired Characters

These are the characters whom I no longer actively play, either because the RPG died, or I left it for whatever reason. Their data is kept here for historical reasons, as well as for safekeeping; retired characters have been brought back from obscurity before. The data below is arranged in user-friendly tables that all have the same format, displayed here:

*Other information that appears depends on the RPG. For example, A Pokémon RPG would include what pokémon the character uses, while an RPG with superpowered characters would include the character's powers.
Click any of the following names to jump to that character's info. Click the up arrow in any entry to return here. Note: [RETIRED] next to an RPG name means that RPG has closed; if the name is not linked, all records of it have been removed from the host MBS.

Brent Huguenin
Gundam RPG [RETIRED]
Brent is a talented chemist who pilots Mobile Suit Bunsen, the sole ability of which is to convert matter to any form, store it and fire it at targets.
Brent fits pretty well into the "geek" category, knowing volumes on his specialty but little in other fields, including social nuances. His attitude toward the war for peace is a Bilbo Baggins-like dichotomy between a craving for the adventure his life usually lacks and a desire to stay away from situations that could end with him dead. The thrill of standing up to the rogue colony pushed him to take up the offer of the Preventers, requesting a so-called "suit" that fitted his specialties.

PossessionsPDA
MS DesignMS "Bunsen" is essentially a very large tank with a turret designed like a humanoid torso with head and arms. There is no Zero system, no transforming capability and no weaponry. The true power of Bunsen lies in the lower half, which amounts to a cyclotron on treads. Given a supply of material (any matter will do; think "trashed enemy suits",) Bunsen can convert it atomically into any other material. The MS is honeycombed with storage compartments, and can also eject material through the arms and out valves in the palms. Practical applications include spraying a target with trinitrotoluene (that's TNT, by the way; can you say BOOM?) and improving armor by storing up heavy alloys.
Newtype?No
Despite misgivings, I am a loyal Preventer. I'll have to ascertain what materials are known to be effective against the Gundams' superior armor plating. I have not bothered to research that because I'd naturally assumed the Gundams and I would be on the same side. Apparently, nothing in politics can be counted on to be as stable as chemics.

Dyrenya the Drolem
Dreigenia RPG [RETIRED]
Dyrenya is a female frost dragon who comes from a Dungeons and Dragons-style setting eons ago. After being killed and reanimated as a drolem, she was sent to Dreigenia, where a run-in with the local god returned her soul to her drolem body. Her speech is a trifle strange because she is new to the Dreigenian language, though she is steadily improving.
Dyrenya is a stranger in a strange world. She has to learn to fit in with civilized life on Dreigenia, knowing there is no way back to the world she knew. With the drolem's mechanical mind and memory to draw from, Dyrenya has exceptional recall and can look at most situations objectively if she has to. A mother in her past life, she occasionally shows maternal concern for Nirika, though events have removed Nirika's need for a mother figure.

PossessionsAmulet of Fire Protection: immunity to normal fire, counters weakness to magical/dragon-breath fire
"So you want to come? ...No, you do not, do you? And yet here you are...This has been a very peculiar day for everybody."

Jonathan Meyer
Xombified RPG [RETIRED]
Jonathan Meyer is an actor who usually plays action hero roles. In the current worldwide tragedy, however, he has switched gears and now performs as an actual action hero. He is also the son of the president of Meyer Arms and Chemical Engineering, a leader in manufacture of the Dirge Vaccine (the company's acronym, M.A.C.E., is not a coincidence in the slightest; Jon's father has been a director/producer for a long time.) The company also produces melee weaponry designed to deliver the vaccine, and has just recently raised its vaccine production to the point at which similarly-designed ammunition is feasible.
Jon has some mannerisms left over from his Hollywood days (which, after all, count for the vast majority of his life.) He holds personal grooming in nearly as high regard as combat training; after all, it's always the handsome young hero who succeeds. It also took him no little work to learn to hit Dirge zombies with his sword instead of merely making it look as though he had; if anything shakes his conviction that Dirge victims are already lost to this world, he may lose his ability to attack them.
EquipmentClaymore and Dagger, each 'poisoned' with the Dirge vaccine, and a supply of the vaccine
Special AbilitySwashbuckle: Jon has a heightened ability to pull off impressive stunts. Given a chance to be flashy about it, his attacks and manuevers are more likely to succeed than otherwise.

Mezzo
Maverick Hunters RPG [RETIRED]
Mezzo (pronounced MET-so) is a reploid equipped with the experimental new Weapon Merge Engine, a device capable of merging two weapons gained through the Variable Weapon System into one with the properties of both. Due to its experimental status, the results can be slightly unpredictable, although favorable results can be secured for later uses.
In the war against the Mavericks, Mezzo is a private and he knows it. Capable of independent strategy, he nonetheless prefers having orders to follow. Known to underestimate his own abilities due to his relative lack of experience.

Mosa
Beyond the Spectrum
Mosa was once a Knight from the Love Zone, but is currently retired, and living in a small village in the quiet countryside. He gives lessons to those youths who wish to learn the sword, but has no intention of going on adventures himself again.
Mosa is usually relaxed. He's led a full life and is now content to settle down. If something manages to tick him off enough, though, it becomes clear that some of the old adventuring fire remains in him.
PossessionsShort sword (fine condition)
Bastard sword (fine condition)
Scale mail armor (poor condition)
Kite shield (poor condition)
FamiliarJoy, a male unicorn Mosa rescued and nursed back to health when he was a foal.
Metaphysical
Description
Doesn't actively use magic...but on rare occasions (like on the order of once or twice an adventure,) he can channel energy as a reflex action to strengthen his shield against magical attacks (Defense Attribute) and heighten his own stamina (Expansion Attribute) for a period of about a minute or two. Those who get a close enough look at these moments might see a faint Lohmakore glow to his eyes.
"Wow, it's almost like riding a phoenix..." Mosa said, looking out the window.
"You've ridden a phoenix?" Janus gasped.
"The life of an experienced Knight is filled with many oddities," Mosa tossed off almost by rote.

Poryhedron
Multiworlds: Chronicles of Omnius [RETIRED]
Poryhedron is a Porygon who was evolved by a lost prototype of the Porygon 2 Upgrade. Like all Porygon, it is genderless. Unlike most Porygon, it is fully sentient and even trains other pokémon. It retains the moves it had as a Porygon, has learned a few others and can also speak English.
Poryhedron has an analytical mind. It searches for the best solution to any problem, always mindful of consequence. Of course, when nothing's wrong, there's no problem with kicking back and having a good time.

Poryhedron
Of Ravens and Pokémorphs [RETIRED]
This ain't your mama's Poryhedron. In the dark world of ZerŘ Hour, where humans are mutated into half-pokémon, half-human beings, someone in Team Rocket's laboratory got the brilliant idea to make a Porygon morph. Predictably, he/it escaped, and now seeks to stop the twisted experiments that ruin people's lives and breed ill ease in the populace...
Poryhedron's former life held precious little social interaction, so he's willing to accept the loss of it, especially since he's always been a bit of a robotics buff. What he's not willing to accept is the horror that he saw, first-person, as a guinea pig for Team Rocket. With the abilities he has gained as a Porygon morph, he is determined finally to put an end to the inhumane testing being done.
PowersPorygon's moves
Can enter and exit cyberspace through terminals
Can affect programming by entering circuitry
Blast it. He'd been found. Hmm...blast it? Not a bad idea, actually.

Raistlin and Logrei
Beyond the Spectrum
Raistlin is a White Mage (a wizard who uses healing and defensive magic) and Logrei is a Black Mage (one who uses attack magic.) Wanderers devoted to fighting evil, they make an impressive team as long as they remain together.
Raistlin and Logrei are the definitive Odd Couple. Raistlin seems to have an endless store of grump; Logrei is nigh impossible to depress. Though Raistlin is not a pessimist, Logrei is overly optimistic. Raistlin says he sticks with Logrei because the fool would quickly kill himself without his help, but the truth is that the two are inseparable friends.
Race/ClassHuman Warlocks
Zone of OriginThe border of Air and Earth; Raistlin from the Air Zone and Logrei from the Earth Zone
PossessionsRaistlin: Magically durable quarterstaff
Logrei: Belt Knife
Metaphysical
Description
Raistlin's defensive powers are not to be underestimated; in seconds he can whip up shields to protect the entire party from attacks, and can also offer defense against inhospitable elements. Even if it's too late for defense, though, Raistlin's a great guy to have around because his healing spells aren't too shabby. He's got practically nothing in offensive magic, though.
Logrei has spread his attack expertise across a vast array of elements, including but not limited to fireballs, ice storms, bolts of lightning, poison clouds, and so on; no matter what the enemy, he's probably got something it'll really dislike. Just in case he meets a monster who is highly resistant to magic attacks, however, he can also cast modification spells to make any weapon stronger, harder, sharper and more durable, though the effect typically lasts only about an hour or so. What he's not so hot at, though, is defending himself against the attacks of the enemy.
"A deceitful work of evil, I might have known...Well, if you're looking for allies, Logrei and I are temporarily low on evil plots to foil..."

Randall
Xanth RPG [RETIRED]
Randall is a human who lives in an unremarkable village south of the Gap Chasm. His talent is the Rhyme; describing an effect or event with rhyming words can cause it to happen. It must take place rather nearby, and cannot involve creating anything; Randall can only work with what's already there.
Randall's bright eyes and quick smirk mark his nature; he is easily amused and does not stay depressed long. He is acrophobic.
Age24
"No, that's okay, I'm fine down here, I mean, the path's direct enough on the ground, that is, I...I...don't handle heights well."

Ridley
Nintendo Worlds
Ridley is the last surviving member of an ancient race hailing from the planet Zebes. In addition to its powerful claws and whiplike spiked tail, it can spit fireballs from its mouth.
Ridley has lost its ancestral home forever, and blames Samus Aran despite the far greater guilt of another entity who died in the same event and therefore cannot be punished for it. Ridley has plans of setting up a new home, but revenge must come first, and so Ridley awaits the appearance of Samus in the strange patchwork planet created by a dimensional flux that has brought together the Worlds of Nintendo.
AlignmentEvil General
MinionsRemnant of Zebesian Space Pirates
WANTED: BOUNTY HUNTER SAMUS ARAN, FOR MULTIPLE CRIMES INCLUDING MASS MURDER, PREMEDITATED THEFT AND WHOLESALE DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY. PREFERABLY ALIVE, BUT DEAD'S ACCEPTABLE.

Samus Aran
Nintendo Worlds
Samus Aran, from the Metroid video game series, is a top-notch bounty hunter wearing a special power suit. Her right arm is a weapons port that can fire energy beams as well as missiles.
The dimensional flux that joined the Worlds of Nintendo ripped Samus from a sensitive mission; her top priority is to return to her proper place before the evil SA-X can conquer the galaxy.
WeaponsSamus was pulled from a point in Metroid Fusion where she has the following attack options:
Energy Beam with two upgrades:
Charge (can charge up for a stronger shot)
Wide, aka Spazer (beam gains a spread about two meters high)
Missiles with two upgrades:
Super (damage was tripled with this upgrade)
Ice (Missiles can sometimes freeze whatever they don't destroy)
Bombs: Samus can lay bombs with a blast delay of about two seconds while in ball form
Speed Booster: Samus can damage enemies by running through them fast enough
AbilitiesSamus was pulled from a point in Metroid Fusion where she has the following special enhancements:
Morph Ball: Samus can morph into a sphere about thigh-high and roll in any direction
High Jump: Samus' maximum jumping height was increased with this enhancement
Spring Ball: Samus can jump while in ball form, though not as high as normal
Speed Booster: Samus can run at super speeds, though her acceleration is below-par
Varia Suit: Samus' suit is insulated against extreme temperatures

In this RPG, Samus has also been granted:
X-Ray Visor: Samus can see invisible objects and creatures
Gravity Suit: Samus can move through water as easily as through air
(using both suit upgrades, can move through lava without damage)

Sprite
Project Zodiac
Sprite is a male in his high teens, equipped with one of Project Zodiac's Virgo Chips, which grants him teleportation abilities and the power to enter and exit cyberspace at will. He is studying the workings of the androids who are trying to control Earth, hoping to learn something useful in humanity's struggle against them.
Sprite is often curious, and doesn't enjoy not knowing things. His mannerisms, typical of boys a few years younger than him, make it easy to underestimate him unless one pays him close attention.
Weapons/
Artifacts
Beam daggers: Units strapped to the back of his hands that can project beam dagger blades.
Android head: The head of an android that he 'harvested' himself using the beam daggers and the Virgo chip's teleport function. His chief experimentation subject, but when it's turned on, other androids can detect it.
"Oh, hey! Another Virgo! ...No, wait, the style's not quite...oh, of course. Must be Gemini. That's cool too."

Trevor
The Gem League [RETIRED]
Trevor is a young pokémon trainer.
Smart for his age, Trevor enjoys a good adventure, but is realistic about his abilities. He's the kind of trainer who always tries to make friends with his pokémon.
Age12
PokémonAudior (starter,) Turretor, Gengar, Loshimatos named Loyle
BackgroundOriginially from Mechtal City, Trevor chose Audior as a starter and was given Turretor as a test-run for the new pokémon by a local inventor. he has a sort-of rival in his next-door neighbor Steve, a Steel-type trainer who is similar to Gary Oak in a lot of ways but is really not that great a trainer.
"Besides, people like me have got to look for challenges. It's how we grow as pokémon trainers."
